ब्रेन ट्यूमर (Brain Tumour) में असामान्य कोशिका का एक संग्रह है। जो स्कल के द्वारा घिरा रहता है, एवं स्कल काफी कठोर होता है। अगर वहाँ पर कोई बदलाव यानी कोई वृद्धि नज़र आये तो समझ जाइए की कोई दिक्कत की परिस्थिति खड़ी हो सकती है। ब्रेन के ट्यूमर को दो श्रेणी में बांटा गया है,
- प्राथमिक ब्रेन ट्यूमर
- माध्यमिक ब्रेन ट्यूमर
प्राथमिक मस्तिष्क में ट्यूमर काफी सौम्य होता है एवं माध्यमिक ट्यूमर तब बनता है जब कैंसर की कोशिका ब्रेन के अन्य हिस्से से फैल कर कहीं दुसरे अंग में चली जाए। तब जो स्थिति उत्पन्न होती है काफी चिंताजनक बन जाती है।
जब मस्तिष्क में ट्यूमर बढ़ता है (जो मस्तिष्क से उत्पन्न होता है), तो यह काफी गंभीर होता है। संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में हर साल 1 लाख लोगों में से केवल 5 लोगों को Brain Tumor होता है इसके साथ ही संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में हर साल 15 साल की आयु से कम वाले लगभग 4,100 बच्चों में Brain Tumor का पता चलता है।
Types of Brain Tumour / ब्रेन ट्यूमर के प्रकार
अगर देखा जाये तो ब्रेन ट्यूमर मुख्यत: दो प्रकार के होते हैं, इसकी अधिक जानकारी आपको नीचे दी गयी है:
1) Tumour without cancer cell : इस तरह के ट्यूमर जो होते हैं उनके बढ़ने की गति काफी slow होती है। यदि इसका इलाज समय रहते करवा लिया जाए तो इसके बढ़ने की सम्भावना कम हो जाती है।
2) Tumour with cancer cell : इस तरह के कैंसर ब्रेन से शुरू होता है और इसके बाद यह ब्रेन के अन्य भागों में फैल जाता है। अगर इसका उपचार आपने करवा लिया है तो इसके बढ़ने की आशंका बनी रहती है।

अगर ध्यान से देखा जाये तो Brain Tumor के लक्षण को पहचाना जा सकता है और समय रहते इसका इलाज काफी हद तक संभव भी है। आइये जानते है इस disease को समय रहते कैसे पहचान करें:
- यदि किसी के सर में हमेशा दर्द बना रहता हो।
- अगर चलते चलते पैर लडखडा जाये।
- Memory loss की समस्या हो रही हो (यह भी जाने की कैसे आप दिमाग तेज कर सकते हैं इन आसन उपायों से)
- स्वाभाव में चिडचिडापन और अचानक से mood swing हो।
- चेहरे के किसी भाग में कमजोरी जैसा महसूस होना।
इन सारे लक्षणों के अलावा कुछ विशिष्ट लक्षण है जो इससे जुड़े हुए हैं वो इस तरह है।
- ट्यूमर के करीब अगर दबाव या सरदर्द सा महसूस होना।

- कभी कभी आँखों से धुंधला दिखाई पड़ना।
- बातों को समझने में कठिनाई जैसा महसूस होना।

ब्रेन ट्यूमर (Brain Tumor) होने के बहुत सारे कारण हो सकते है, उन कारणों के बारे में पता लगते हैं जी की इस प्रकार हैं:
यह किसी विशेष तरह के virus के इन्फेक्शन से होता है।
साँस लेने के दौरान अगर किसी भी प्रदुषित चीजों का Respiratory System में प्रवेश होता है तो यह ब्रेन ट्यूमर (Brain Tumor) के होने की आशंका को बढ़ा सकता है। – यदि आपके परिवार में किसी भी सदस्य को कभी भी Brain Tumour की समस्या हुई हो तो यह समस्या अन्य सदस्य को __ भी हो सकता है।
अगर किसी रोगी को ब्लड कैंसर की समस्या है तो उन्हें ब्रेन ट्यूमर (Brain Tumor) की बीमारी होने की संभावना बढ़ सकती है।
जानकारी के अनुसार Brain Tumour दिमाग में बनने वाली गाँठ होती है जो कैंसर या non cancer भी हो सकती है। अगर किसी तरह से उपर्युक्त समस्या से गुजरना पड़ रहा है तो आप इसे नज़रअंदाज बिलकुल भी ना करे, क्योंकि ऐसा करना बहुत बड़ी बेवकूफी साबित हो सकती है।

- कभी कभी स्थिति ऐसी हो सकती है की अगर रोगी सर्जरी करवाता है, और ट्यूमर पूरी तरह से बाहर नहीं निकल पाता हो तो उस वक़्त Radiation therapy की सहायता से उस बची हुई कोशिका को हटा सकते है।
- एक अलग प्रक्रिया है किमोथरेपी जिसके प्रयोग से कैंसर की कोशिका को ख़त्म किया जा सकता है।
- कैंसर को ख़त्म करने के लिए कीमोथेरेपी की दवा ली जाती है जिसके सेवन से इस बीमारी को ठीक किया जा सकता है। इस दवा को आप मुंह के द्वारा ले सकते हैं या आप इसे intra veins infusion भी करवा सकते हैं।
